Inauguration Blog 1-20
The man has set the nation into a kaleidoscope of hope, a whirlwind of wonder, a rekindling of personal power.
Did you see the inauguration today?
Did you hear Barak’s speech?
Did you hear him say that while 60 years ago, his black father would not have been allowed to sit on the bus, today he stood before us taking oath for the highest office in the United States? Did you see all the people standing in the cold, watching, listening, tears running down their faces?
I did, and my life shall be forever changed.
Off topic?
Not really.
My point is to parallel what was going on today with your own lives.
Obama talked about values, talked about picking ourselves up and dusting off, talked about change!
On topic: his message applies not only to our country but to us as individuals.
Think about it – from no bus to top of the bus, from free-for-all to meaning and values, from down and out to up and taking charge.
To find that right person means being right with yourself: sitting comfortably on whatever bus you take, being a person rich with values you live by, and quitting with the woe is me routine and taking charge of your life.
