  • Fact – the economy sucks
  • Fact – people (men) still need people (women)
  • Fact – people (women) still need people (women)
  • Fact – in a vast majority of the cases, neither party has the disposable income they once had

What does this add up to?

  • Long distance romances are kaput
  • New clothes (from store) for first dates are kaput
  • Thrift store clothes for first dates are cool
  • Home cooking is de rigueur
  • Fancy restaurants are démodé
